Engineer at Applied Invention

Robert Bennett has a diverse work experience. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Maintenance Specialist for the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of Bennett Recreation, LLC, where they identified a concept, conducted market analysis, filed a patent application, produced a prototype, wrote an initial business plan, secured legal services, and set up a bank account with a line of credit. In 2013, they were a Design Engineer at McNutt Manufacturing, LLC, where they designed 15+ different size frames for a revolutionary trailer system. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Team Leader at Auburn University, where they led a group of 7 in developing a Friction Stir Welder for research purposes. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been an Engineer and Software Developer at Applied Invention, where they design and fabricates various complex mechanisms and assemblies, oversees and QAs other engineering work, and teaches engineering principles and machining.

Robert Bennett attended Langley High School from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained their high school diploma. Robert then attended Auburn University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
