Wontae Wade Hwang

Wontae Wade Hwang is a Senior Staff Engineer at Applied Materials, with expertise in etching process engineering, since May 2017. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager and Principal Process Engineer at Tokyo Electron US from June 2014 to April 2017, focusing on the CNSE Nano-fab and TTCA, and serving as a Member of Technical Staff at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from July 2011 to May 2014. Wontae has also held positions as Principal Engineer in the Flash Memory R&D division and at a 300mm Flash manufacturing fab startup at Samsung from June 2009 to May 2009, and as Senior Process Engineer for DRAM Logic and SRAM dry etching in Samsung's R&D division from January 1997 to January 2007. Wontae holds a Master’s degree in Electronics from Sungkyunkwan University, obtained between 2003 and 2005.
