Don Macleod

Don Macleod is an experienced executive in the engineering and technology sectors, currently serving as the CEO and President of Applied Motion Products since September 2011, focusing on profitable revenue growth. Previously, Don held the position of President and Board Member at Aura Systems from April 2009 to August 2011, contributing to the development of unique axial induction motor technology for mobile power generation applications. Before that, Don spent over two decades at Seagate Technology in various executive roles, including Executive Director of Corporate Business Excellence and Advanced Mechanical Platform. Don's career commenced at Applied Motion Products as VP Engineering from March 1982 to July 1986, specializing in step and brushless motors. Don holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool, and a certificate in Engineering and Technology Management from Caltech.
