Vedha Viyash

Vedha Viyash has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as an R/Shiny Developer at Appsilon. In this role, Vedha has built Shiny applications using R6 classes, Tidyverse, SQL, REST APIs, CSS, and JS. They have led a successful project in the life science space, developing three Shiny applications using open-source data sources to assist a biotech company's biology team. They are skilled at delivering working MVPs quickly.

Prior to their current role, Vedha worked at ZoomRx. They started as an Associate Intern in February 2018 and then transitioned to an Associate in Business Analysis. Later, they moved to the tech team as a Developer, building a large-scale Shiny app with expertise in interactive plots rendering. After that, Vedha became an Associate in Data Science, where they prototyped new products for pharma companies and built a chrome extension to facilitate term look-up.

In their final role at ZoomRx, Vedha served as an Associate Consultant in Data Science, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging open-source data sources in the medical domain to find interesting insights for pharma companies.

Vedha Viyash completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Vedha has obtained several certifications in various fields. They acquired a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in April 2023. Furthermore, they have completed multiple online courses and obtained certifications, including "Git Complete: The definitive, step-by-step guide to Git" from Udemy in January 2020, "Neo4j: GraphDB Foundations with Cypher" from Udemy in January 2020, "Productivity and Time Management for the Overwhelmed" from Udemy in January 2020, "Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp" from Udemy in January 2020, "Scrum Master Exam Prep" from Udemy in January 2020, and "The Complete JavaScript Course 2020: Build Real Projects!" from Udemy in January 2020. Additionally, Vedha obtained a certification in "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in October 2019, "Design Theory Blitz: Quickly Understand GREAT Design" from Udemy in July 2019, and "Neo4j Certified Professional" from Neo4j in July 2019.
