Joe Norby is currently working at Apptronik as the Motion Planning and Controls Team Lead. Previously, Joe was a NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University's Robomechanics Lab, where Joe developed methods for agile and autonomous robot locomotion. Joe also has experience as a STEM Course Instructor at LEONARDOS BASEMENT, where Joe designed and instructed summer maker classes. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Notre Dame, Joe has a strong background in robotics and engineering.
