Josh Blackwell

Josh Blackwell has a diverse work experience in various engineering and manufacturing roles. Josh is currently working as the Director of Manufacturing & Operations at Apptronik since April 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director, Manufacturing at Canoo from April 2022 to April 2023. Within Canoo, they also served as an Engineering Manager, Body Operations from March to April 2022, and as an Engineer, Body in White from January to March 2022.

Before joining Canoo, Josh worked at Renishaw where they held several roles, including Gauging Application Engineer from October 2017 to January 2022, Application Engineer from June 2015 to November 2017, CNC Programmer/Machinist from June 2014 to June 2015, and Advanced Manufacturing Apprentice from September 2011 to September 2014. Josh also briefly worked as a Mechanical & Electronic Assembler in May 2011 at the beginning of their career. At Renishaw, they were primarily involved in improving manufacturing quality, increasing throughput, providing inspection and gauging programs, and incorporating measurement methods with automated processes.

Overall, Josh Blackwell has gained extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering, and operations throughout their career.

Josh Blackwell attended Katharine Lady Berkeley's School from 2005 to 2010. Josh then pursued Mechanical Engineering and studied at the University of South Wales from 2011 to 2015. In addition, they also enrolled in Gloucestershire Engineering Training from 2011 to 2013, where they focused on Mechanical Engineering as well.
