Bruce Nguyen

Bruce Nguyen has a wide range of experience in the field of software engineering and IT consulting. Bruce began their career in 2002 as a Software Engineer at ELCA Information Technology, Vietnam. Bruce then worked at Saigon Bank of Industry and Trade as an IT Team Leader, where they maintained core banking systems and provided user and data processing support.

In 2006, they joined KPMG as an IT Consultant, a role they held until 2009 when they moved to Ernst & Young in a similar position. At both companies, they utilized their skills to provide IT consulting services.

Bruce's experience also includes working at Mineral Technologies as a Business Process Modeler/Analyst, where they were involved in process improvement projects and conducted process mapping, modeling, and analysis using techniques such as BPMN and Lean principles. Bruce also worked as an IT Service Management Process Analyst at Bank of Queensland, where they assisted in improving IT service management processes.

In 2014, Bruce joined Queensland University of Technology (QUT) as a Software Developer, where they developed an animation tool and implemented a loan application assessment process. Bruce then became a PhD Researcher/Scientific Programmer at QUT, where they researched and developed stage-based process mining techniques.

Most recently, Bruce has been working at Apromore as a Lead Software Engineer, a position they held from 2018 until November 2022 when they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities at Apromore include software development and engineering.

Bruce Nguyen's education history begins in 1995 when they attended HCMC University of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology in 2000. After that, they pursued further education at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2012 to 2014, earning a Master's degree in IT with a focus on Business Process Management.

Bruce's educational journey continued at QUT from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Systems. During their doctoral studies, their research revolved around Business Process Management, specifically in the area of Process Mining.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Bruce holds several certifications. In 2001, they obtained a certification in UML Modelling from Pacific Links. In 2005, they earned a Project Management Certificate from CICC Japan. Furthermore, in 2007, they became a Certified Information System Auditor through ISACA.
