Nazanin Parivar

Nazanin Parivar has a wide range of work experience in the field of user experience and design. Her most recent position was in 2022 as the Director of Client Success at Apsy Inc. Prior to this, they were the Founder and UX consultant at Uniekwork in 2016. In 2018, they worked as an Interaction Designer at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and as a UX/UI Designer at TalentNet Inc. Nazanin also worked as a User Experience Designer at Multi-Health Systems Inc. from 2015 to 2018. Her responsibilities in this role included planning, leading, and participating in formal market-focused user research efforts, working with various stakeholders, and incorporating customer feedback to inform design decisions. Nazanin Parivar began their career as a Junior UX Designer at Ark.com in 2014 and was also the IDF Toronto Group Leader at the Interaction Design Foundation in 2013. Nazanin has also worked in marketing positions at ING DIRECT Canada and as a Sales and Service representative at INGDirect. Additionally, they served as a Content Editor for the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) in 2014.

Nazanin Parivar completed their Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University in 2011. In 2013-2014, they obtained a certificate in UI Design patterns for successful software from The Interaction Design Foundation. In 2014, they also completed courses in UX Design I & II at George Brown College and WordPress, HTML5 and Responsive Design at Ladies Learning Code. Prior to this, Nazanin had completed a university transfer program at Capilano University in 2005-2007 and a diploma in Civil Engineering at Seneca College in 2004-2005. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications such as "Body Language for Women" from LinkedIn in 2020 and "Entrepreneurship 101" from MaRS Discovery District in 2018, among others.
