Jane McLeod

Jane McLeod has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific and educational fields since 2002. Jane started as an English Language Teacher at Chatteris Educational Foundation in 2002, then moved on to a PhD student at the University of York in 2003. In 2007, they took on the role of Scientist at Covance, and in 2008 they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sheffield. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Science Editor at Edanz Group Ltd, followed by a role as a Scientific Writer at Avacta Life Sciences. In 2019, they worked as a Marketing Manager at Biosignatures Ltd, and in 2020 they became a Senior Science Writer at Abcam and a Marketing Content Manager at Aptamer Group.

Jane McLeod completed their education history with an Inbound Certification from HubSpot in October 2015. Prior to this, they earned a BSc (Hons) 1st class in Biochemistry from The University of Sheffield between 1999 and 2001. Jane then went on to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of York, which they completed in 2007. Jane also attended Alun School.
