Amy Eisenfeld has held various positions in the field of medical affairs and medical writing. Amy started their career as a Medical Writer at Sonus in 1997 and stayed with the company until 2000. In 2000, they joined Cell Therapeutics, Inc as a Director of Medical Writing, and later took on the role of Director of Medical Writing & Clinical Programming until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Poniard Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Medical Writing/Medical Communications. Amy then joined Acucela Inc. as the Director of Medical Writing from 2010 to 2012. After that, they worked at Emergent Biosolutions as the Director of Medical Affairs, overseeing clinical trials and research activities. Their most recent position is the Director of Medical Affairs at Aptevo Therapeutics Inc, which they have held since 2016.
Amy Eisenfeld completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology at Stanford University from 1973 to 1977. Afterward, they pursued a PhD in Anatomy (specifically neuroscience) at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, completing their degree from 1977 to 1982.
