Ying W.

Ying W. is a data engineer currently building data platforms for web3 at Aptos Labs since February 2023. Previously, Ying served as a staff data engineer at Meta, leading teams for Facebook video products and WhatsApp payments from September 2021 to January 2023. Prior experience includes the role of data science manager at Myriad Genetics and data scientist at Counsyl, where significant contributions were made prior to acquisition. Earlier positions included data scientist at Agilent Technologies, specializing in linking legacy and modern data systems, and senior bioinformatics scientist at Annai Systems, where work focused on identifying cancer genome mutations. Ying's academic background includes a PhD in Genetic, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Southern California, complemented by a Data Analysis Nanodegree from Udacity and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Genetics from the University of California, Davis.
