J. Kwansima Q.

Head of Regulatory and Product Stewardship at Aqdot

J. Kwansima Q. has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. From 2003-2002, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a (Head) Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Chemistry Department of UIUC, and a Teaching Assistant at the Chemistry Department of Mount Holyoke College. In 2002, they were an Intern at Burrill & Company and a Summer Research Intern at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Centre. In 2001, they were a Summer Research Assistant at the Polymer Science Department of the University of Massachusetts. In 2010, they were a Business Management and Information Technology Consultant at a Non-Profit Organization in Accra, Ghana. From 2011-2014, they were a Post Doctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Colloid and Surface Science, Chemistry Department, University of Florence, Italy. Finally, from 2014-present, they have been the Head of Regulatory and Product Stewardship, a Technology Leader: Manufacturing and Development, a Technology Leader: Formulations and Applications Development, an Applications Development Chemist, and a Visiting Scientist: Polymer Synthesis at Aqdot Limited.

J. Kwansima Q. began their educational journey at SOS Hermann Gmeiner International College, where they earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma and Certificate between 1996 and 2000. They then attended Mount Holyoke College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, J. Kwansima Q. completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry - Materials and Organic Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2007, they earned a Certificate in Business Administration from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Finally, in 2008 to 2009, J. Kwansima Q. earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Management for Scientists from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
