Jake Wimberly

Jake Wimberly has a diverse work experience, starting in 2013 as a Legal Intern at the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and later as a Legal Intern at the MBTA. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Associate at Seward & Kissel LLP and as a Legal Intern at State Street. Jake then joined SEAK, Inc. as a Law Clerk from 2014 to 2015. After that, Jake returned to Seward & Kissel LLP as an Associate in Investment Management, where they worked until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Director - Head of Legal for Private Funds and Accounts at AQR Capital Management.

Jake Wimberly obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.), cum laude from Boston University School of Law between 2012 and 2015. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Policy (Honors) and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2011, they also briefly studied at Georgetown University, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
