Chiranga Jayasekera has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chiranga Jayasekera, began their career as an Intern and Finance Trainee at Unilever Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd in 2009 before moving on to become a Lecturer at Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS) in 2008. Chiranga Jayasekera, then worked as an Accountant at Star Garments Group from 2011 to 2017. In 2017, they joined CAMMS as a Management Accountant before transitioning to their current position as the Chief Financial Officer at Aqua Dynamics Private Limited. Chiranga Jayasekera holds multiple qualifications including an MBA from USQ (Aus), as well as certifications such as ACMA, CGMA, ACCA, and CPA (Aus).

Chiranga Jayasekera completed their primary and secondary education in mathematics at Royal College, Colombo from 1991 to 2004. In 2005, they obtained a Diploma in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). From 2006 to 2008, Chiranga pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Finance from the University of London. In 2021, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Southern Queensland.

Chiranga has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they became an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from CIMA. In 2015, Chiranga obtained the Affiliate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) certification from ACCA, and in 2016, they became a CPA (Australia) certified by CPA Australia.
