Wasantha Karunaratne

Wasantha Karunaratne has over 18 years of work experience in industrial engineering. Wasantha is currently the Head of Industrial Engineering at Aqua Dynamics Private Limited since September 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager Industrial Engineering at Hirdaramani Group from September 2017 to September 2018. Wasantha also served as the Industrial Engineering Manager at Fashion Garments - Vietnam from August 2015 to September 2017.

Before that, Wasantha worked as the Manager IE at SINTESI Limited from September 2011 to August 2015. Wasantha was also the Manager IE at Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited from February 2007 to May 2011. Wasantha worked as the Deputy Manager IE at Masood Textile Mills Ltd. from September 2005 to February 2007.

Wasantha gained experience as the Manager IE at Ammar Textile Mills Ltd. from February 2004 to September 2005 and as an Industrial Engineer at Esquel Group from January 2002 to February 2004. Wasantha started their career as an Instructor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ruhuna from April 2001 to January 2002.

Wasantha Karunaratne attended the University of Peradeniya from 1997 to 2000. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree with a focus on Production Engineering. In August 2021, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) certification from The Lean Six Sigma Company.
