Simona Paolacci is currently the Head of Research and Development and Innovation at AquaBioTech Group. Previously, Simona worked as a Senior Researcher at Bantry Marine Research Station and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at University College Cork. Simona completed their PhD in Plant Sciences at University College Cork, after obtaining a Master's degree in Environmental Monitoring and Restoration from Sapienza Università di Roma. Prior to that, Simona earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from the same university. Their research focuses on seaweed cultivation, aquaculture systems, and invasive aquatic plant species competition.
