Lead Mechanical Engineer at Aquabyte

Jon Anderson has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Jon started their career as a Robotics Engineer intern at Astrobotic Technology, Inc. in 2012. Jon then worked as an intern at SpaceX, where they served as a Production Engineer and later as a Process Engineer for the Dragon spacecraft.

In 2013, Jon joined Planet Labs as an Engineering Intern, contributing to their spacecraft engineering processes. Jon also worked at Carnegie Mellon University as a Lead Mobility Engineer for the Protoflight Lunar Rover project. In 2014, they interned at the National Robotics Engineering Center, specifically in Lab 37.

From 2015 to 2016, Jon worked at Planet Labs as a Spacecraft Engineer, focusing on spacecraft engineering and development. Jon then joined Marble in 2016 as a Robotics Engineer.

In 2020, Jon joined the Toyota Research Institute as a Senior Research Hardware Engineer, specializing in research and development of hardware. Jon worked there until 2022, when they joined Aquabyte as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

In 2018, Jon founded their own company, Aeroquatic LLC. As the owner, they likely managed the operations and responsibilities of the company.

Jon Anderson received their high school education from Poudre High School between the years 2005 and 2008. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Robotics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, studying from 2008 to 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, where they attended from 2012 to 2014.
