Casey Hooker

Casey Hooker, PhD, is a research scientist at BiomEdit as of January 2024, following a role as a fungal strain engineer at Aqua Cultured Foods from January to December 2023. Previously, Casey served as a visiting scholar at the University of Delaware from January 2021 to January 2023 and as a graduate research assistant at Purdue University from August 2016 to December 2020. Early professional experience includes working as a process operator at Iroquois Bioenergy Company from November 2015 to August 2016. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University (2016-2022), a Master of Science in the same field from Purdue University (2016-2018), and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from DePauw University (2011-2015).
