Rebecca Shay

Rebecca Shay is a Fungal Strain Engineer at Aqua Cultured Foods since December 2022, following a significant tenure at Michigan State University as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2016 to December 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Technician at Knight Hollow Nursery Inc and various Research Assistant positions at Charkowski Lab, Givnish Lab, and Zhao Lab. Rebecca began gaining practical experience as a Surveyor for Spring Lake Township between June 2011 and August 2012. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Botany/Plant Biology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
