Jörg Vogel

VP Open Innovation at Aquaporin A/S

Jörg Vogel has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jörg started their career as an Intern at Aesculap in 2004. In 2008, they joined DTU Nanotech as an Industrial PhD student and continued in that role until 2011.

After completing their PhD, Jörg Vogel joined Aquaporin A/S in 2011 as a Biomimetic Membrane Developer and later became a Project Manager Development from 2012 to 2014. Jörg then became the Head of Pilot Production from 2014 to 2015, where they were responsible for upscaling production and supply chain management.

From 2015 to 2018, Jörg Vogel held the position of Head of Technology Development at Aquaporin A/S. In this role, they were responsible for membrane testing, pilot production, and optimization of biomimetic hollow fiber modules.

In 2018, Jörg Vogel was promoted to the position of VP Technology Development at Aquaporin A/S. In this role, they led R&D groups in Denmark and Singapore, focusing on the development and application of Aquaporin Inside® technology.

Most recently, Jörg Vogel took on the role of VP Open Innovation in 2022, where they work with a new internal group formed for innovation. Jörg collaborates with the CIO and VP of Deep Tech to drive research-focused initiatives.

Throughout their career, Jörg Vogel has demonstrated expertise and leadership in technology development, pilot production, and research within the membrane industry.

Jörg Vogel's education history begins with their studies at Technische Universität Chemnitz from 2001 to 2007. During this time, they pursued their degree in Mechatronics/Microtechnology and obtained a Dipl.-Ing. (Diploma Engineer) qualification. Following this, from 2008 to 2011, Vogel pursued their PhD studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, specializing in microproduction. Finally, in 2014, they attended the CCL MLP program, focusing on Organizational Leadership.
