Michael Turkington

Michael Turkington has a diverse work experience in various roles. Michael started their career as a Postgraduate Researcher at Queen's University Belfast in 2014, focusing on the production of high-quality atomic data for nuclear fusion. Michael worked on the development of R-matrix codes for electron-impact scattering calculations. In 2017, they became a Lecturer at Stranmillis University College in Belfast. In 2018, they joined Data Intellect as a Financial Software Developer and later transitioned to a Mid-level kdb+ developer role, which they currently hold.

Michael Turkington completed their education in a chronological order. Michael first attended Queen's University Belfast from 2010 to 2014, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Atomic/Molecular Physics at Queen's University Belfast from 2014 to 2017.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael Turkington obtained certifications later on. In February 2021, they attained the "[PCEP-30-01] PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer" certification from the Python Institute. Furthermore, in June 2023, they accomplished the "KX Fundamentals Capstone" certification from KX.
