Tomás Mateos Herrero

Tomás Mateos Herrero has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tomás currently holds the position of CIO at Aquaservice - Viva Aqua Service Spain S.A., a leading company in home and business delivery of natural mineral water and refreshing beverages. With over 500,000 customers across 50 branches in Spain, the company has 6 natural springs and employs over 2,600 people.

Prior to their current role, Tomás served as the CIO and Director of Information Technology and Digitalization at Cruz Roja Española, a humanitarian organization, from 2017 to 2021.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Digital Manager at COFARES, a pharmaceutical distribution company. Before that, they held the position of CIO and Director of Technology and Systems at Hefaral (Grupo Farmanova) from 2011 to 2015.

Tomás gained significant experience at Ken Foods, where they served as the Director of Information Systems from 2002 to 2011. Tomás began their career as an IT Consultant at Forimagen in 2001 and then worked as a Software Developer at Occidental Hotels & Resorts and BASF in 2000.

Tomás Mateos Herrero has a diverse education history. In 1997, they started their academic journey at the University of Alcalá, where they pursued a degree in Ingeniero Técnico en Informática de Gestión, which they completed in 2002. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Ingeniero en Informática in 2008.

In 2010, Tomás enrolled in IE Business School to pursue an Executive Master's degree in Dirección de Sistemas de Información, which they completed in 2011. Tomás then decided to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of business by attending the IESE Business School in 2019. There, they pursued the PADE Transformación Digital program for a year.

In 2020, Tomás sought further professional development opportunities and enrolled in the Cloud & Devops: Transformación continua program offered by MIT Professional Education.

Additionally, Tomás has obtained certifications to enhance their language and IT service management skills. Tomás holds a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge and an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN.
