Sucharita Basu

Sucharita Basu serves as the Chairperson of the Sub Committee on Ease of Doing Business for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region Council since April 2024 and holds the position of Chairman for CII West Bengal for the term 2023-24. Sucharita's extensive experience includes being a Partner at AQUILAW, a prominent law firm since 2015, and previously serving as Vice Chairman for CII West Bengal from March 2022 to April 2023. Prior to their current engagements, Sucharita Basu worked at Khaitan & Co from April 2001 to September 2015, progressing from Associate to Associate Partner. Educational qualifications include a degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Calcutta, a certification as a Privacy Lead Assessor from the Data Security Council of India, and training from Harvard Kennedy School in 2020.
