ALOKE ROY has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. ALOKE began their career as a Ropery Superintendent at Usha Martin Black Industries Limited in 1968 and worked there until 1981. ALOKE then joined Usha Siam Steel Industries Limited as a Ropery Manager, where they were responsible for establishing a new ropery unit and training Thai engineers and workers in wire rope making. In 1985, they became a General Manager at Usha Martin Industries, where they served for 15 years. In 2007, they joined superior global infrastructure ltd. as a Project Coordinator, working on the Jamshedpur master planning project. Finally, in 2011, they became the Vice President of Rope Manufacturing at Aradhya Steel. Overall, ALOKE ROY has extensive experience in rope manufacturing, project coordination, and managerial roles.

From 1955 to 1961, Aloke Roy attended Lionel Edward Bengali Boys High School. Following their time at high school, they pursued a Pre-University degree and B.Sc. Part-1 at St. Xavier's College. ALOKE also obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the WB Board of Technical Education. Their field of study throughout their education was Mechanical Engineering.
