Somnath Dasgupta

Somnath Dasgupta has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Somnath is currently employed as a Principal Scientific Manager at Aragen Life Sciences since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Scientific Manager at GVK BIO from August 2018 to March 2022. Before that, they served as a Research Scientist at SAI Life Sciences Ltd from September 2015 to August 2018. Somnath also worked as a Scientist at GRK Research Laboratories from January 2015 to September 2015. Somnath has a strong academic background and has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Alberta from July 2012 to December 2014, and at the University of Toronto from September 2009 to June 2012.

Somnath Dasgupta completed their education in the field of chemistry. Somnath earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta in the years 2000-2003. Somnath then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organic Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University from 2003 to 2005. Later, they joined the Central Drug Research Institute for their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry, which they completed from 2006 to 2007. Finally, they enrolled in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research for their second Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), specializing in Organic Chemistry, which they completed in 2008-2009.
