Guchie Gulie

Guchie Gulie is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in soil and water engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Arba Minch University since January 2010, Guchie Gulie also holds the position of Vice President for Research and Community Services. Responsibilities include strategic planning, overseeing research and community service projects, and guiding postgraduate students in various specialized fields. In addition to these roles, Guchie Gulie is the AMU-IUC programme coordinator at the Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering department of the Arba Minch Water Technology Institute, a position held since January 2016. Research interests encompass geohydrochemistry, rainfall-runoff and soil erosion modeling, and groundwater system modeling. Guchie Gulie earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University between 2006 and 2010.
