Kayla Lowney McDonough, CPC, CPMA, CEMC, has extensive experience in medical coding and compliance, particularly within cardiovascular and behavioral health sectors. Currently serving as a Cardiovascular Surgery Professional Coder and Cardiology Coding Consultant at Boston Children's Hospital and Mass General Brigham, respectively, Kayla also works as a Behavioral Health Coding Consultant at Arbour Hospital and HRI Hospital since December 2023 and July 2023, respectively. Kayla has previously held roles including Compliance Analyst and Applications Administrator at Massachusetts General Hospital, where responsibilities included conducting internal audits and providing coding education. Kayla's career began with positions such as Cardiology Coding Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital and Billing Specialist at Alert Ambulance Service, Inc.
