Shalini Rao

Shalini Rao is a skilled product designer with experience at The Washington Post and Arc XP since September 2022. Previously, Shalini held the role of product manager at Noteful, leading the development of a summary dashboard for music teachers. Shalini conducted extensive user research, testing, and presentations to ensure effective implementation of features. Prior experience includes internship positions at Carnegie Mellon University CyLab and Arc XP, where Shalini developed user interview protocols and design prototypes. Shalini also redesigned the homepage of the August Wilson House, applying human-centered research methods. An early career as a UI/UX design intern at Entre and as a student consultant at Connected Camps underscores Shalini's commitment to user experience and effective design solutions. Shalini holds a degree in Information Systems with a focus on Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
