Ethan Winograd

Ethan Winograd has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Ethan is currently the Director of Engineering at Arcadia, where they oversee engineering operations. Prior to that, they held the role of Engineering Manager at Arcadia and was responsible for managing the engineering team. Ethan also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Arcadia, where they developed software solutions.

Before joining Arcadia, Ethan worked at UPMC Enterprises as the Lead Software Engineer in the Technology Development Center. In this role, they led R&D teams working on projects involving REST APIs, big data, NLP, EMR, and imaging. Ethan utilized various technologies such as Ruby, Java, Spring, Boot, Angular, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and open-source tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, and Vagrant.

Earlier in their career, Ethan worked as a Software Architect at Giant Eagle, where they focused on eCommerce initiatives and web service integrations. Ethan also worked as a Senior Developer at Giant Eagle. Before that, they operated their own consulting firm, Winograd Consulting Services, where they provided system development and design services to small businesses.

Ethan's work experience also includes roles at Allegheny Energy as a Senior Analyst, where they worked on business process automation and .NET web projects, and at Fulltilt Solutions as a Senior Consultant, leading web-based HIPAA compliance product development. Ethan Winograd holds a Master's degree in Information Science, which they obtained from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the same university in 1989. Their education began at Mckeesport High School, where they attended from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, Ethan has obtained certifications in Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from Coursera Course Certificates and in Java 2 from Sun Microsystems. Ethan also completed the shaping-up-with-angular-js certification from Code School.
