Uppalapati S Ramachandra Raju has extensive experience in the steel industry, currently serving as Vice President Operations at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India since April 2017, overseeing the Paradeep Pellet Plant with a capacity of 12 MMPTY. Prior to this role, Ramachandra Raju worked at Essar Steel for over two decades, where positions included Head of Beneficiation Plant, Deputy Head and GM of Pellet Plant Operations, Joint General Manager of Beneficiation Plant, and Senior Manager, starting as a Graduate Engineer Trainee involved in the construction, commissioning, and maintenance of the Vizag Pellet Plant.
