Deplechin Simon

Deplechin Simon has extensive experience in the steel industry, currently serving as Manager Support Senior Process and Head of Dunkerque and Serémange coke plants at ArcelorMittal since September 2018. Previously, Simon was an Iron ores, solid fuels, and shipping lead user within the CTO Team, contributing to optimization of production volume and cost reduction strategies from January 2016 to August 2018. Simon's career at ArcelorMittal began in September 1999, holding multiple roles focused on operational excellence, raw materials optimization, and process improvements across various facilities. Simon's foundational experience includes research positions in metallurgical and hydro-metallurgical engineering at the Center for Research in Metallurgy and Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain, respectively, complemented by a degree in chemical engineering from the same institution.
