Stuart Mowbray has a strong background in software development and engineering. Stuart started their career as a Software Engineer at IBM Hursley Laboratories, where they worked on diagnostic development for the MQSeries middleware product. Stuart also gained experience in maintenance and development of IBM's WebSphere MQ Software product. After this, they joined Sira Ltd as a Post-doctoral Research Scientist, specializing in semi-automated forensic video analysis and the design and development of a distributed video evidence management system. Stuart then moved on to Renishaw, where they held various roles, including Software Engineer/Team Lead and Software Development Manager. At Renishaw, they managed a team of developers and worked on developing geospatial and LiDAR-based software products. Stuart joined Sutton upon Derwent Parish Council as a Parish Councillor and later became the Vice Chair. Currently, Stuart is a Computer Vision Engineer at Archangel Imaging, where they are involved in developing novel, multi-sensor positioning systems for UxV navigation.
Stuart Mowbray obtained their PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton, specializing in Computer Vision and Image Processing. Stuart pursued this degree from 2001 to 2004.
