Charlie Chen

Charlie Chen has an extensive work experience spanning over several industries.

Charlie currently holds the position of Managing Director, Australia at Archblock since February 2023. Charlie is responsible for overseeing operations and strategic planning in Australia.

Previously, Charlie served as a Co-Founder at Stablecoin Standard, starting in August 2022. In this role, they developed the 'Quality Badge' to ensure best practices among stablecoin issuers globally.

Charlie also worked as the Co-Chair of Blockchain Australia Young Professionals from February 2022. In this position, they focused on promoting education and discussing regulations and policies related to blockchain technology.

In 2020, Charlie worked at Infinity Coaching Institute as the Head Career Coach for Financial Services & Marketing. Charlie provided career planning sessions to international students and skilled migrants.

Prior to this, they served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ettle, where they launched a fully reserved Australian Dollar stablecoin and ensured its independent audit and cash backing.

Charlie also worked at R Financial Service Pty Ltd from 2020 to 2022 as Chief Commercial Officer. Charlie'sresponsibilities included product management, marketing, and business development.

Charlie started their career at Commonwealth Bank in 2009, where they held various roles such as State Manager (Acting), Asian Business Banking, Manager of Strategy and Operations - Corporate Financial Services, Account Manager - Corporate Financial Services, Sales Campaign Manager/Investment Product Specialist, Business Analyst (during a secondment in Shanghai and Henan, China), and Assistant Manager/Customer Service Specialist. In these roles, they focused on business development, relationship management, and providing banking solutions to clients.

Throughout their career, Charlie has displayed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the financial services industry.

Charlie Chen completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree with a specialization in Finance from UNSW. In terms of additional certifications, Charlie completed the Asialink Leaders Program from Asialink Business in March 2022. Charlie also completed the Antler Launch Academy program offered by Antler in October 2020. Furthermore, Charlie obtained a certification in "AI For Everyone" from Coursera in March 2019. Lastly, they obtained the Senior Associate (SA Fin) certification from Finsia (Financial Services Institute of Australasia) in July 2013.
