Emily Coonfield Saatcioglu

Emily Coonfield Saatcioglu, Ph.D., serves as Academic Dean and Director of Instruction and Teacher Development at Bishop Ward High School since August 2017. In addition to these roles, Emily is a KC Scholars Applicant Reviewer and an Administrator for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Since June 2013, Emily has also been an Adjunct Faculty member at Baker University's Graduate School of Education. Previous experiences include positions as an Urban School Leader Resident in Training with Pathway to Leadership in Urban Schools and Teacher Leader within Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Emily's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Kansas and multiple degrees focusing on educational leadership and teaching methodologies. Throughout Emily's career, various recognitions have been obtained, including nominations for Teacher of the Year and the Good Apple Teaching Award.
