Amanda Dent has a diverse work experience in the fields of creative direction, copywriting, DJing, branding and marketing, freelance writing and photography, programming, editing, and news editing. Amanda began their career as an intern and writer for The Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2001. Amanda then worked as a news editor for The DeSoto Times from 2004 to 2005, followed by an editor role at RSVP magazine from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a copywriter at inferno. Amanda then joined Archer as a creative director and copywriter in 2012. In 2008, they started volunteering as a programmer at WEVL until September 2020. In 2019, they took on the role of a volunteer DJ and branding/marketing professional at WYXR. Throughout their career, they also engaged in freelance writing and photography work for Memphis.
Amanda Dent obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Memphis. Amanda attended the university from 2000 to 2003.
