Darren Sumich

Darren Sumich has a diverse background in animation, with significant experience in various roles over the years. Darren currently holds the position of Senior Cinematic Animator at Archetype Entertainment since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Animator at Wētā FX from March 2022 to September 2022. In 2021, they were the Lead Animator at Dapper Labs from October 2021 to January 2022. From April 2020 to October 2021, they served as the Lead Animator at Brud.

Darren also worked as an Animator at Framestore from January 2020 to February 2020, and at Zoic Studios from November 2019 to January 2020. Darren gained experience at Naughty Dog as an Animator from March 2018 to November 2019 and from September 2016 to July 2017. Additionally, they worked briefly as an Animator/Rigger at The Mill in September 2016.

Throughout their career, Darren has consistently demonstrated their expertise and versatility in the field of animation.

Darren Sumich pursued their education at the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2002 to 2006. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Animation. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they further enhanced their skills by attending AnimationMentor.com. Here, they obtained a diploma in Character Animation.
