Jacob Walters

Jacob Walters has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Jacob currently works as a Product Lead at Arc'teryx Equipment, starting in September 2022. Previously, they served as a Site Assessment and Remediation Intern at AKRF from October 2021 to December 2021, where they maintained project compliance to environmental standards and collected soil and groundwater samples for testing.

Before that, Jacob worked at Wegmans Food Markets from July 2015 to October 2021, primarily in customer service and front-end roles, assisting customers with groceries, maintaining the store's organization, and cashiering.

Jacob also gained experience as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Assistant/Educator at TAMARACK WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER INC from September 2017 to May 2021, where they helped with the rehabilitation and reintroduction of wildlife and conducted educational programs on wildlife preservation and protection.

As an Emerging Technologies and Research Intern at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation in May 2020, Jacob researched and presented new discoveries in environmental science, led sustainability projects, and analyzed trends in corporate and urban sustainability.

Additionally, they served as a Wildlife Team Member at Picchio Wildlife Research Center in June 2019, where they provided guidance on park projects, responded to situations involving wildlife, and recorded bear locations using a GIS database.

Overall, Jacob Walters has gained a range of skills and experiences in environmental science, customer service, wildlife rehabilitation, and sustainability research throughout their professional journey.

Jacob Walters received their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Allegheny College between the years 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Frontier Central High School, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their educational background, Jacob also holds a certification in OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER, which they obtained in October 2021 from Safety Unlimited, Inc.
