Mayalin Laforteza Barr

Mayalin Laforteza Barr is an experienced physical therapist with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Washington - School of Medicine. Current employment includes a position at Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital since February 2023. Previous roles encompass outpatient orthopedic and pelvic floor therapy at PROFORMANCE REHAB, INC. and NorthSound Physical Therapy. Mayalin co-founded Homesite Soccer Camp in June 2011, serving as head coach, and has extensive experience in research and clinical coordination, including significant roles at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Mayalin holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Community Health/Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
