Chad Schmidt

Chad Schmidt has extensive experience in Non-Destructive Testing and Quality Assurance. Chad is currently working as a Senior NDT Research Specialist - ASNT Level III at ARCTOS since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Acuren for more than 16 years in various roles, including QA Manager, CWI, and NDE Level III. In this role, they ensured that trainees and technicians maintained high safety and quality standards during NDT and CWI work. Chad also administered exams and provided hands-on training for NDT and CWI processes. Chad also served as a Laboratory Manager, Certified Welding Inspector, and NDE Technician and a Supervisor, Certified Welding Inspector, and NDE Technician. Overall, Chad Schmidt is a skilled and experienced NDT professional.

Chad Schmidt's education history includes several certifications in non-destructive testing (NDT), including Radiography from Acuren in 2010, Ultrasonics from GE - General Electric (Unison) in 2005, and Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle from Moraine Valley Community College in 2005. Chad also obtained a Certified Welding Inspector degree from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in 2012 and a NDE degree in Digital and Computed Radiography from Hellier in 2013. Additionally, they completed the NDT Level III Basic Course at ASNT in 2017. Furthermore, they pursued Marketing, Advertising, and Communications at Sinclair Community College from 2002 to 2004. Chad holds several certifications, including Body Language for Leaders and Improving Your Focus from LinkedIn in 2019, and Certified Welding Inspector from the American Welding Society in 2013.
