Amy E. Anderson

Associate Director, Translational Sciences at Arcus Biosciences

Amy E. Anderson, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the fields of translational sciences, immunology, and inflammation research. Amy E. has worked as a Principal Investigator, Sr. Scientist, and Scientist in various roles at Arcus Biosciences since 2018. Amy E.'sresponsibilities include the development and deployment of clinically applicable coverage assays, as well as conducting research on biomarkers and drug efficacy using mouse and human cells.

Prior to their work at Arcus Biosciences, Anderson was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Ph.D. Candidate at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During this time, they focused on the development of adipose extracellular matrix-derived biomaterial and conducted research on immunological responses and regenerative immune responses. Amy E. also played a key role in obtaining FDA approval for Phase I clinical testing and performed GMP manufacturing and release testing of clinical-grade materials. Anderson is highly proficient in cell and tissue culture, flow cytometry, real-time quantitative PCR, and other analytical techniques.

Additionally, Anderson served as the President of the Hopkins Biotech Network, where they presided over organization-wide activities and networked with industry representatives. Amy E. also worked as a Graduate Intern in Biopharmaceutical Development at MedImmune and held roles as an Assistant Laboratory Manager and Undergraduate Researcher at UC Davis.

Amy E. Anderson, Ph.D. earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis in 2011. Amy E. later obtained a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2017.
