Cherry Mao

Cherry Mao has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Cherry currently holds the position of Director, Biostatistics at Arcus Biosciences since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director, Biostatistics at the same company from June 2021 to February 2023. Cherry also worked as a Biostatistician at Verily Life Sciences from September 2018 to May 2021, as a Biostatistician II at Exelixis from May 2017 to September 2018, and as a Senior Statistical Programmer at Gilead Sciences from February 2016 to May 2017. Before joining Gilead Sciences, they worked as a Statistical Programmer II at Onyx Pharmaceuticals from January 2013 to December 2015. Cherry's earlier experiences include the role of Statistical Research Associate (Statistician) II at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from September 2011 to January 2013, Graduate Student Researcher and Analyst at UCLA from July 2010 to May 2011, Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2008 to June 2009, and Research Intern at Bayer from August 2007 to August 2008.

Cherry Mao received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from The University of British Columbia in 2009. Cherry then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics at UCLA from 2009 to 2011.
