Thomas de Wailly

Thomas de Wailly has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Thomas is currently working as a Senior Lawyer at Ardian since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at CAPZA as an Avocat - détachement direction juridique from April 2022 to October 2022. Thomas also worked at Linklaters as an Associate in the tax department from February 2016 to October 2022. Before that, they gained internship experience in the tax departments of various law firms such as Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, DLA Piper, Herbert Smith Freehills, and Franklin Société d'avocats (Law Firm). In addition, Thomas served as a Member of the Board at Grande Ecole du Droit Alumni Association, where they were involved in making contacts with law firms and corporations and organizing visits to French legal and political institutions. Thomas also had a brief legal trainee position at SCP Zurfluh Lebatteux Sizaire, where they handled complex cases and drafted legal papers related to real estate. Before entering the legal field, Thomas volunteered as a teacher at Mairie de Versailles.

Thomas de Wailly's education history begins in 2009 when they attended Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) and obtained a Licence degree in Law, which they completed in 2012. In the same year, they pursued their education at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) and enrolled in the Grande Ecole du Droit program, specializing in Law, until 2012. Continuing their academic journey, Thomas attended Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) again in 2012 for their Master 1 degree in Corporate Law, which they completed the following year. Additionally, in 2012, they studied at the University of Washington and achieved a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, focused on Tax Law/Taxation, which they finished in 2013. Lastly, from 2013 to 2014, Thomas attended Université Paris Dauphine - PSL where they pursued a Master 221 degree in Corporate Tax.
