Kaja Milanowska-Zabel, Ph.D., MBA

Kaja Milanowska-Zabel, Ph.D., MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. From 2016, they have been associated with Ardigen, starting as a Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics & Data Science and eventually taking on the position of Operations Director in the same field. In 2018, they became the Head of Microbiome R&D and was promoted to Executive Vice President. Kaja also served as a Board Member for Ardigen's business development. Prior to Ardigen, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS and a Co-owner of VitaInSilica, where they focused on NGS, database design, and bioinformatics analysis. Kaja also gained experience as a Co-organizer and mentor at Django Girls, an Organizer at PyLadies, and a Volunteer at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology. Kaja pursued their education, completing a Ph.D. in 2013 and later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Adam Mickiewicz University. Additionally, they were a Student at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences. Kaja Milanowska-Zabel has also been a member of Toastmasters International and a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of Virginia.

Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, which they successfully completed in 2008. Kaja furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same university, completing it in 2008.
