Ali Khaloo, PhD has a wealth of experience in the engineering field. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Site Civil Engineer for Veresk Associates. In 2009, they worked as a Structural Engineer for Behsaz Asaye Iranian. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Tufts University. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and a PhD Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University. During this time, they developed a novel multi-scale method for image-based 3D reconstruction of large infrastructure systems and an automated 3D point cloud classification. In 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell Tech and a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University. Additionally, they were a Senior Research Scientist at Neurala, where they developed a new deep learning algorithm for real-time object detection on devices with limited computation power. In 2016, they co-founded Arcus Analytics, LLC. and served as the Chief Scientist. Currently, they are the CEO & Founder of Aren and an Advisory Board member at the Center for Advancing Human-Machine Partnerships (CAHMP) at George Mason University.

Ali Khaloo, PhD has an extensive education history. Ali started at Tufts University in 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Structural Engineering in 2013. Ali then went on to George Mason University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Engineering in 2018. Ali is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, where they are expected to finish in 2021. In addition to their academic credentials, Ali has obtained several certifications, including Machine Learning from Stanford University in 2014, Discover 3D Modeling and Visualization Solutions for Infrastructure Projects from Autodesk in 2014, and the National NSF I-Corps Program from the National Science Foundation.
