Ruby Smith

Ruby Smith has a diverse work experience spanning many years. Ruby began their career as a Project Coordinator for the Global Futures Forum Summit in 2008. Ruby then served as an Operations Manager for TED conferences, where they managed event registrations and coordinated logistics for VIPs. In 2009, they worked as a Hospitality Program Manager for the Canadian Paralympic Committee, overseeing various aspects of the VIP and sponsor hospitality program. Ruby also worked as an Event and Communications Coordinator for The Mr. Lube Foundation, where they managed event operations for a golf tournament. Ruby then took on the role of Communications & Creative Services Manager / Project Manager at PRIME, where they led large international events for clients and managed budgets. In 2012, they became a Senior Operations Manager for brand.LIVE Group, responsible for event production and negotiations. Ruby then became a Partner at This Way Event Services, handling daily operations, client management, and talent programming. In 2019, This Way Event Services merged with Promosa Management, and Ruby became the Director of Event Operations. Ruby oversaw large-scale event operations, budget management, and sales development. In 2020, Ruby joined Reimagine Work as a People Ops Advisor, providing human capital consulting to organizations. Currently, they work at Argo Blockchain as a Senior Service Designer, and they are also involved in special projects.

Ruby Smith attended Langara College and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Design Formation. Additionally, they studied Tourism Management at Capilano University, although the specific dates are unknown.
