Hani Fares

Hani Fares is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Division Director for Mental Health & Addictions at ARHM since January 2024. Hani has previously held prominent positions, including Senior Field Manager at the World Health Organization, Senior Public Health Officer at UNHCR, and MedCOI Researcher at the European Union Agency for Asylum. Notably, Hani contributed as a Public Health Officer and Head of Health Unit at UNHCR, coordinating health responses for refugees in Egypt amidst the Syria crisis. Hani's extensive background includes roles with Médecins Sans Frontières and Première Urgence Internationale, alongside a comprehensive educational background that encompasses a PhD in Public Health Education and numerous degrees in health-related fields.
