William Kiser serves as the Executive Vice President for Science and Technology at Applied Research Institute (ARI) since August 2017. Prior to this role, Kiser was the Director of Research Partnerships at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering for a brief period in early 2017. Kiser's extensive experience also includes serving as the Director of The Electro-Optics Center at The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University from 2004 to 2016, where Kiser provided technical expertise to the U.S. Government in imaging systems and High Energy Laser Systems. Previous positions include Senior Director and Research Associate/Advanced Imaging Lead at OptoSonics, Inc. (1997-2004), as well as Engineering Manager roles at both Irradiation Industries Incorporated (1990-1995) and OptoSonics. Kiser's academic credentials include a PhD in Medical Physics from Purdue University, an MS in Engineering Physics from George Mason University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College.
