Michael Jiang

Michael Jiang currently serves as Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Head of Fund Governance at Ariel Investments, focusing on legal and governance matters for commingled investment products. Prior experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at Resolute Investment Managers and American Beacon Advisors, where responsibilities involved regulatory, disclosure, and board governance issues for multiple funds. Michael also held positions at Northern Trust Corporation as Vice President/Legal Counsel, overseeing similar regulatory matters, and previously worked as a criminal defense attorney at Cabrini Green Legal Aid. Additional experience includes roles at K&L Gates addressing Investment Company Act compliance, and internships at DLA Piper and the Northern District of Illinois. Michael holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University.
