Dr. Aaron Blocher-Rubin has been working in the field of autism treatment for more than 25 years, starting in college after his youngest brother was diagnosed. He has been the President & CEO of Arizona Autism United, a leading autism nonprofit organization in Arizona, since the organization started in 2006. His clinical training was in ABA therapy and he is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
He also holds a PhD in Human Services and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He was recognized in 2014 as the Nonprofit Director of the Year by the Organization for Nonprofit Executives, and is a past president of the Arizona Association for Behavior Analysis (AzABA). Dr. Blocher-Rubin's previous experience includes completing a world-renowned autism program with Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA, and serving as the Intervention Programs Director at the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
He has served on several boards, including the Arizona Autism Coalition and the Organization for Nonprofit Executives. Aaron was selected as one of Arizona’s top “Forty under 40” business professionals in 2008 by the Phoenix Business Journal, and one of PHOENIX Magazine's "Great 48" in 2020. He has also completed intensive executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2018, he was selected as a "Piper Fellow" by the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.
He has provided training and worked one-to-one with hundreds of children with autism, families and therapists, and has led the growth of Arizona Autism United from startup to its current position of several hundred employees providing a growing variety of interdisciplinary services, supports and therapies to hundreds of families throughout Arizona every day.
