Joe Carrillo

Joe Carrillo has a diverse work experience with a focus on technology roles. Joe currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at the Arizona Department of Education. Prior to this, Joe held various managerial positions at the Arizona Department of Revenue, including Systems/Network Senior Manager, Applications Development Senior Manager, and Applications Development Manager. Before joining the government sector, Joe worked as a Senior/Lead Application Developer/Analyst at the Maricopa County - Office of Enterprise Technology and as a Sr. Analyst/Application Developer at the City of Phoenix. Joe began their career as a Software Engineer at Motorola Semiconductor. Overall, Joe has a strong background in technology and leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.

Joe Carrillo has a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS/Operations Management from the University of Arizona, which they obtained between 1992 and 1998. Later, they pursued an MBA degree from Western International University from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their degrees, Joe Carrillo has also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification in May 2018 and a ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2013.
